Following a successful management buyout from The National Health Service, Stanmore Orthopaedic needed to relocate the business to new premises, which would be fitted out to meet the current and future demands of the business for the next 20 years.
Insight developed a close working relationship with Stanmore’s technical team, taking care to understand the business and operational needs and aspirations for the future. In this way we were able to develop a robust design that not only met the business needs for today, but also offered future proofing and flexibility.
The project consisted of the fit-out of a client facing reception, specialist meeting rooms, open plan and cellular offices, training room and boardroom. The office area was doubled in size with the installation of a steel and concrete mezzanine floor, complete with stainless steel feature staircase.
The new production facility comprised of a breakout space for production staff, “Class 10,000” clean room, workshops and distribution facilities.
Full air-conditioning was installed to the office area and specialist production facilities. To support the new production centre, an 800kVA substation was installed and connected to a new main panel feeding the building services.
